Does anyone have a set of instructions for the Jr Explorer 90 pattern arf? I recently bought one on ebay but instructions were not included.

Also, does anyone have any experience flying one, including engine and weight?

John

Wingster,

You may want to contact those who have one depending on the version you have. I belive you have the retracts version FAI. Above link has info.

I have an Acro version (Fixed gear 3D).
A few has the FAI version.

Hope this helps,,

Thanks Patter Flyer

Yes I do have the FAI version.

Do you recall if the wing has any dihedral? I f I but the wings together there is about 1/4 inch of dihedral. I am not sure if this is correct or that the wing should really be flat.

wingster.

Eddie,

If you have a scanner, scann it and send me a copy. I would like to look through it to see the differences between the two versions.

The Acro version's manual was, in my opinion was ok.

Mailed the plans yesterday.(sat 7-5-03)
Lets stay in touch re completing the Explorer. I haven't started mine as yet. Been finishing a 20y/o Bridi Tweedy Bird(25 size plane. it survived this long - I'm determined to finish it before I do anything else :-).

I search Japanese website a lot, but have not been able to find any information regarding 2m size Explorer.

It is designed by Hijime Hatta nearly 7 or 8 years ago.

Most 2m Japanese designs are not advertised well enough to sell. They are mostly sold by hobbyshop of designer's choice like G. Naruke selling his design at his own shop.

The hobby net link is http://www.hobbynet-jp.com

JR Propo sold Explorer V140 in 1997, but not anymore.

Thanks for sending the plans out. I've started working on the explorer. I bought a new digital camera and am taking pictures as I go along.

Thanks

Just as with any ARF -be sure to check glue joints.
I noticed while "inspecting" mine that one of the formers was very loose.

Pics of the assembly would be great. I hope to start on mine in a week or so. I HAVE to finish my previous project first ( promised myself I would :-)
