I am looking to purchase a new glider but am stuck which to buy.

I have not done much gliding, but am an experienced power aerobatic flier.

I would like if possible an ARTF model as time is limited (family), but suggestions don`t have to be ARTF.

I was wondering if someone would be good enough to point me in the right direction as to which model I should choose.

It will be used mainly for sloap soaring and bungee launches and not powered in any way.

I obviously only have the choice of kits available in the UK.

Cheers,

Malc

I know you said not powered, but...

I recommend a Dymond Apex. It's a great flier. Upgrade to a "turbo 660" geared motor and you'll love it.

I have one and on it's first flight I was up 22 minutes. I wasn't even trying to stay up there, and landed only beacuse it was getting dark.

I normally fly glow-powered stuff, and this is one of my first "gliders". Wingspan is about 85 inches. Requires 3 channels for rudder, elevator, and throotle. It will take standard sized servos. I'm using a Futaba Conquest radio set up.

You'll need a 30 amp speed controller, and a couple of 7 cell 2400MAH battery packs to complete the set up. Good luck!

Not sure if you can get it but the Gentle lady kit or ARF is good. It is great on the hi start and awsome on the slope in lighter winds. I fly mine inverted, but it isnt easy with that bent wing. Great plane.
