You have totally made my morning!! I bought one of these at a sale 2 years ago. I gave it to my son. This year his Grandaddy gave him a T-maxx and I inherited the XTR. The engine has been wore out for a while but the car is O.K. It has a three speed in it with a TT-21 Pro. This thing used to haul A##. I guessed, with my radar eye ,it would get close to 80. I think I will refresh the engine and get her back on the dirt after seeing yours. I woud like to get some up-grades for the steering. Can you still get parts?

Hey Wizard. I looked at the site and did not see the steering I was looking for. So, I called them about it. I had the part number. I just wanted to ask if you have seen or used the upgrade I am looking at. It is the Ballbearing steering set part number U2391M. I found it listed in the back of the owners manual to the XT-R in the speed secrets section. I am hopeing this set will eliminate the slop in my steering. As I said before, I already have the TT Transmission upgrade. Any other ideas or tricks you want share. I'm all ears. By the way, when I called the site you gave me I talked to Adam. I asked him about parts for the XT-R he said, "do you know how old that car is?" But he said the bearing set is in stock, I just wondered if you have used it.

Look at part U749W. The sloopy steering is usually attributed to loose nuts on the top. Tighten these down and threadlock them. Mine are all bearings and I like it. A few things about the XTR is make sure you have a set of C-Clips and before and after any runs check for if you need to tighten anything down.
