I have a Smartech Aero Hawk (development of the Skylark) and was wondering if it's a clone of any other helicopter or does it / can it share any parts with some of the more common helis (Piccolo / Hummingbird etc)

A colleague has a FEDA Mini Dragonfly and it's very different from that. The only similarities are that they're 4ch micro helis...! (Well, not literally, but they're pretty different).

My heli has the ESC/Gyro/Mixer on one board and a GWS 4ch Rx on another. The boards are bound together in heat-shrink and mounted at the very front of the heli. The bearings in my rotor head are a lot further apart than those in on the FEDA too.

The spur gear is also much smaller on my heli, although pinion size is similar leading me to believe I have a higher rotor speed. Who knows...? Any help appreciated...!
