Gentlemen,

I still have the 1200. I took it to Winamac hoping you might be there to look at it. Since it came back to me from overseas, after bearing replacement, it will not make full power. On my very crude test stand I got 6lbs (P80 showed 19lbs). I purchased and tried a new pump from flightworks with no change in output. I would like to be able to use this engine (so far it has only 14 flights) but right now it's not even a good paper weight.
If there's anything you can do please let me know. Thanks

Gary Szetlak

Hi Gary,

I have tried to get word to you several times that in changing to a Flight Works pump your software will have to be updated. When you sent your turbine in to have the bearings changed, all you sent was the turbine (no ancillaries)- had you sent the whole system in I would have run it before returning it to you and we wouldn't be having this discussion.

GNM will be attending Michigan Jets, Liberty Bell, Heart of Ohio, and Superman, as per our website. If you'll be at any of those meets I'll be happy to take care of the problem then and there. If you would like us to give it more immediate attention you can send it in to me, I'll tweak it, and we'll send it right back. (If so, please let me know if you have our Niagara Falls NY address or not.)

Thanks Kevin please send me your Niagra falls NY address. I will send it to you so that it can be given the proper attention. I do not wish to risk damaging any more aircraft until this unit is right.

Gentlemen,

First, it was nice meeting you Kevin at Michigan Jets. For anyone else reading this both Kevin and Ed did a good job at looking at problems for various flyers and in paticular showing me what the problem with my engine is. Also Kim did a nice job showing the rest of the line of products that Great Northern sells (looking forward to the wheels I ordered). Great Northern graciously donated a gift certificate for a set of wheels and brakes which I won at the Sat. BBQ.
Has there been any progress on the 1200? Now that Jim Brown has given us some info on the DL MB339 I'm anxious to re-install it and fly that plane.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Gary,

Unfortunately I´m still over the pond in Spain, but I understand that the pumps have still not shown up. I´m gonna see what I can find out about their where-abouts between returning home from Spain and leaving for Liberty Bell. I´ll let you know.
