Where can you buy a transmitter adapter for FMS RC flight simulator? I have a 4 channel Futaba labeled as Tower Hobbies and has a buddy cord plug on the back.

Buy it here: http://www.rc-electronics.co.uk/fms.htm

I know it's across the pond but I PayPal'ed the money and he had the interface here 4 days later. The PIC interface works great.

Ptarmigan,

Don't waste your money on an FMS-only interface!

For the same $25 you can buy a universal TX-to-Game Port interface, which will work with almost all R/C sims, including FMS:

Besides, it's in the neighboring Colorado--you'll get it in two days.

Bluesky123, thanks man. I will look at that. Anyways, the $25 was a rip-off anyways. I thought there were cheaper ones like around $10. The USB one looks cool, but too pricey, $50. Is there any transmitter to USB interface that is cheaper?

Actually the $50 is quite a good buy because not only does it make your Tx look like a PC jostick so it works in ANY PC based game, not just R/c sims but it has the added advantage that if you trade up operating systems (to XP or 2K) then it continues to work when most of the serial/parallel interfaced cables stop (also good for use on a Notebook too!)

I've got the USB-JSIM from www.rc-electronics.co.uk and think it's great.

You might want to visit this website:

I purchased a parallel port adapter and CD of FMS and another program with extra planes. The cost was $30 about a yr ago.

Program and Interface works great and I've had no problems with it. just tell them which type of radio.

Hope this helps you

Ptarmigan,
Just pay attention to:
1) Which Windows version the interface is compatible with--most cheap FMS interfaces (e.g., parallel port interface) only work in Windows 9X: 95, 98, ME.

2) Which sims the interface supports: parallel and serial port interfaces are usually compatible with a single sim, e.g. FMS.
Once you find out that FMS isn't that great, you'll regret buying FMS-only interface.
Some of USB interfaces are FMS-only too: they just emulate a serial port through USB, but they are still limited to FMS...

Do some research before spending your hard earned buck!
