It was definately an arf by even todays standards.

I bought a P51 but there were many different fighters and even multi engine bombers. they were in a big dumpster closing out during the big economy crumble back then.

I believe it only had Japanese instructions, and it took my Dads help to do some of the tricky bits...

The mustang had what appeared to be a blow molded scaleish plastic fuselage. and a foam wing. The fuse was very nice,I think it had panel lines and a nice canopy. It came with a huge wad of rubber for the motor, and a don't recall it if had a reduction geared prop? the wingspan was probably around 20 inchs. To this day I kick myself in the butt for not buying one of every plane, there was probably 8-12 different models. I think the smaller fighter kits only cost 4 dollars back then. I remember the boxs being white with excellent artwork..I could be wrong on the white box though.

I had some decent flights out of it and it would just barely do a ROG, but it was fast and cool to watch....

I would love it if anyone out there knew the kit series, and had more info or pics.

A friend of mine used to work next to some biggie department store and took his smoke breaks out near their dumpster. He too found numerous vac-u-formed ones in the bottom, drove his car around and filled up the trunk. Left the paerwork and boxes behind. From what was in the trunk, he found enough parts and pieces to make up three different ones, and then hung them from the ceiling via string at his place. The sunlight soon rotted away the plastic, and the strings and they each fell to the floor one night essentially destroying them selves. No loss, he tossed them out.
