I have yet to hear one bad thing about the Eolo from what you have said and what I have read. Stop tempting me! LoL

I can't quite afford it yet but I hope in a couple of months I will be able to get the heli.....maybe sooner. The electronics are no problem. So how is the stock motor? Will it hold up for awhile? Or would I need to get a better motor right away. And what would be a good alternative motor with brushes? And would the Robbie ESC be good enough or would it be better to get the Castle Creations one?

It would be awhile after I get the heli before I could afford the brushless setup, but I understand what to get as far as that goes and why.

gazoo,
the stock motor is a basic brushed motor and works very good for the novice..but if I was starting from scratch I would not spend the money on a brushed esc, I would put that money towards a brushless setup. because in a short time you will go brushless anyway and wished you save the money that you spent on the brushed controller for a brushless system..(my personal opinion)
we are going to put up on the web page new motor options this weekend.

option 1 very affordable entry level mega 22/20/2 motor for about 95$
that will be great VALUE for the novice and sport flyer

option 2, kontronik Twist 3700 for a great all around novice-3d pilot or hacker if you want hacker we will have the hacker too

option 3 , if you want the BEST!!!blistering performance for unlimited 3d flight we will be offering the Lehner 1920
(not for the novice)

good luck
Jeremy

I guess you are right....go straight with brushless. Option two sounds good to me for an all around brushless.....Hacker. The Lehner motors are just too expensive. Thanks again for the info and advice

I have already sent my order for Dragonfly (HB) yesterday and it is not a big expense compare to other heli. I hope I get a lot of fun out of it and maybe get other heli later on. Before I bought HB I was considering LMH Corona but is not for indoor.
The idea is when it's too windy outside or I have a spare time at nite I can fly it in my house. When we have a nice weather I can fly my electric planes or do R/C car. This way I can do R/C anytime.

Can anybody tell me if the stock battery pack for Hummingbird is any good? I forgot to order spare pack. Should I make my own pack from Sanyo batteries instead? I like to stick with Nicad / Nimh because my Supernova charger can't do Li Poli.
