Hi Luchnia
Please excuse me for my ignorance, but what did you mean by "clear plastic Fiji bottles with Viton tubing" ?
Regards,
Udi.

Fiji bottles are clear water bottles that we have available here in the US. Some folks have taken them and used them for gas tanks. Viton tubing is tubing made from pure Viton that can be used for a number of proposes and also used for fuel tubing. It is extremely flexible in cold temps and last a long time. If you do a google search you can find it uses.

sudi9, if you cut the engine mounts at the firewall, you can slide the engine back and close up that inch gap between the cowl ring and spinner backplate.

Hi Mach2
Thanks for the advise, i have noticed that in of the build threads on youtube after mounting the engine already.
Yes there is quite a gap from the cowl.
By the way did you try the spiner nut in the kit on the DLE, it's of a different thread size ? Doesn't fit?
I have ordered a nut spiner instead
Thanks!

you can use a 8x1 adapter. i had to open up the spinner's hole for the adapter screw. not a big deal though.  its a nice looking spinner and fits the look of the cowl perfectly!

opps, that's not the right size. but that's what you'll need. i got mine from a buddy who had one laying around.

im having a hard time finding one for you. you would have to find a screw to go through the spinner into the nut. The one with the Revovler's spinner kit may work....

Sudi - The DLE 20 drive-shaft threading is 8x1.00mm. Here's a TH link - just check that the nut length is correct for you (I dont' recall which one I used). http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/WTI0001P?I=LXB962&P=8

Also, there's an encyclopedic amount of information \ experience \ feedback about the DLE 20 on this other RCU thread:

http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_9863953/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm

And that first post is used as a "sticky" or repository of very valuable information.

Mike, how'd you find that?  I searched TH too. I guess I dont have search skills like you...

Sudi9 - there's lots of good info on there, so I'd read the first few pages thoroughly. But be aware that there are a couple guys that follow that thread who like to give people a hard time. They will often give a rude "use the search function before asking questions" answer if there is a question that's been answered somewhere within the 217 pages. It's funny how they have enough time to float around on here all day looking for a chance to make snide remarks, but they dont seem to have enough time to help someone out. I guess they got into the hobby knowing everything before hand.....

mach2 - I used Google. The Tower search stinks cause you have to have the exact text string that they use.

Sudi - mach2 makes a good point. That DLE 20 thread is great, but there are a few cranky old-timers on it who'll jump all over you if your question isn't esoteric enough.

yeah, i noticed that the TH search is finiky. Its gotta be exact. Ill start using the google more. I knew TH had one of those cause id seen it before, but i searched 8x1mm adapter instead of 8x1.00mm adapter...

Ain't it the truth! They forget that had to learn once like everyone else....well except those that came out of the womb flying RC. You know they have all knowledge and know all things RC...can't tie thier shoes though.

I think most of us desire to help others as best we can. Sometimes I do struggle with the "new" texting crap. Makes me want to hurl. Call me "old school" but I am over the sorry way that kids today speak, write, type, text, etc. I can really rant on that one.

We will have grown a total bunch of idiot losers in our current generations of children! You think they could even figure out how to put together a Rev 70 even with detailed instructions? I need to stop before I explode!

I am chuckling because I have no clue what I missed nor what was read into those post by oldbob! Can we not even have fun anymore on the forum? Oldbob, hang in there and stick around, every now and then we fire on all cylinders

Now back to the Rev 70. I flew mine again today and had a blast. I cannot emphasize enough just how smooth this bird is! Again today I heard those familiar comments about how good the Rev 70 looks when she flies.

on the top of page 190, he asked a question about mounting the DLE20. a couple of us answered. He never responded. then i asked him we were any help. he said yes and thanks.

Then the last post.

In a thread that is almost 200 pages long, there is bound to be a lot of off topic talk.....

Could not get the engine to idle properly, and was difficult to start, still after some adjustmentsno success.
Decided to take the engine out and look for the problem.
As you can see in the pics, the carb was full of debris in the net filter.
Thats a good lesson for not using a good fuel filter !!!!!!

Total agreement with you. This is a huge thread and we do occasionally pull it aside. I don't see the damage in that as long as it is in moderation.

Oh, BTW, I was flying the Rev 70 yesterday and I was doing a vertical and just going straight up at will. One of the guys said, "What kind of engine is that?" I said 91FX. If the 91FX will pull this thing straight up like a rocket I cannot imagine the 20 DLE. I know one thing this plane will get questions asked even with the higher dollar planes flying.

We had much more elaborate and expensive planes at the field yesterday, yet no matter she still gets responses. That speaks much for the GP Revolver. I have several gas planes, glow, etc, but so often the Revolver has a place in the van when I go to the field

sudi9, thanks for posting the pictures. You have a very nice setup and looks like you and your fellow flyers had a great time together flying. It is always nice to see the various airplanes and our fellow flyers from other places
