Im trying to find the value or market price for a never flown Yellow Aircraft F-18 single. The plane is painted in ppg blue and yellow with the blue angles decals, the flaps, ailerons, and rudders are drilles for the hinges and ready to be installed. have fuel tanks but no motor or fan unit. No gear.
I understand there is a seperate place to post jets for sale but before I put it over there I just wanted to get an idea of what I should be asking for it.
Thanks for your time....

Go to the "Jets for Sale" forum and do a search on the F-18 single and see what they have been listed for and sold for. The market changes all the time and what folks paid for a particular item at one point in time may not necessarily be the same now.
The Jet market seems to be down at the moment, especially, DF. There seems to only be a couple of "gotta have" jets now and the used market has seen some very low selling prices b/c people just aren't buying.

Sorry I couldn't be more help, but you may just need to test the market yourself by listing it and asking what you think is fair. You'll know right away whether it's priced right.

Like most things the price can vary quite a bit. There is a lot of difference in the earlier kits and the latest versions. The wing spars are much longer into the wing, the wing and all flying surfaces are much stronger on the later models and the fuse is worlds apart. The landing gear retract units are also a lot stronger on the later model.

None of this means an earlier ver can't be a great buy though. Tough to judge unless you are knowledgeable about the builder and the plane.

Good Luck
