Hi,
I have a 9Z radio I bought second hand two yrs ago. It's been, and still is a really good radio for me. But just recently its started acting up. The rudder control stick only seems to work the way it should when the throttle is either all the way down or all the way up. Anywhere in between and you can watch the rudder servo indicator pointer on the atv function screen bounce all over the place. This happened once awhile back to the aileron joystick but while I was trying to figure out where to send it for repairs and trying it every other day the problem seemed to just go away. Now its resurfaced on the rudder joystick. I live in northern British Columbia, Canada and was wondering whats the best way to go about getting this radio serviced and repaired.
Does Futaba have a service center anywhere in Canada? I've been to the service website for Futaba and thankfully this radio is not on the list for non-serviceable radios. I started filling out the service request form but when I had to enter my address there's no where there for a canadian address. Easy enough for me to put it in anyway but I'd figure I'd check to see if there was another way to do it. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I dont want to fly the heli anymore until I know for sure this time that its not going to mess up. How do people ship transmitters for repairs? Do they box them up or send them in their carrying cases?
