Ok after my initial thoughts of the camera being junk I can now say it is working great, i just needed to get a class 4 micro SD card as the one that comes with the camera is junk, it wont work in the camera..I mean who was the goose at hobbyking that tested this card in the camera before they made the order...

Anyway now it takes great video nice and clear with smooth framerate.

The only thing id like to see done is a firmware update with the ability to do auto photos..maybe a photo every 3 or 4 seconds like the FCO2....can we see this done?? lets hope so...

I am going to make a custom mount up as the one that comes with it is hopeless...it wont stay in the 1 position and moves around too much...Im thinking of a L mount...but will see.

Some videos I have done are below

Did you do anything to the image quality when you edited the videos, such as sharpening, contrast, saturation, etc?

hey thanks for posting these videos. i was thinking of getting one of these for when i go hunting as a barrel camera (actually a clip-on hat camera) and to put on the rc cars and plane but i was worried that it would be bad quality. these videos have convinced me that this is worth the money. barrel cameras sell for $200+ sometimes. sure they are probably better quality but this looks really good. plus i have $50 in stor credit at hobbyking.

Is it just me or is the video choppy? Seems like less than 30fps by far.

Thats due to the crappy stock SD card, its much to slow to write 30 full pixelchange frames per second.
The latest edition of this camera has a much better card included.
Hit up google to see some recording done with a class 4 card.

Hey, my new Hobby King arrived and I'm quite pleased with how it works, though I don't like the time recording.

Here is a link to the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7SKipTCy80

While i am usually the one to get the lemon, it appears that i got something good this time. Mine works great. The first video is on board a HL SU-34 fullback EDF. I just cut a hole on top of the fuselage behind the canopy and pressed it in with a little tape for extra security. I love that video. The second is aboard a foamie delta i designed for combat. There was another video shot that day during a combat engagement but i guess i didn't turn the camera on properly and missed it but i'll try again this weekend. I love this camera! Mine came with a kingston 2GB card and appears to work just fine.

Really cool video, im planning on letting mine ride along on a friends turbine jet.
Should be interesting.

Also heres a small tip:
Create a file named "time.txt", then put your date and time in it in the following format: 2009/12/09 17:40:00
Save it, drop it in the root of your camera, then turn it off and on again.
Should sort your timestamp out.
