I am looking for some suggestions on desktop systems to run Realflight G4.5 on. I have been using my laptop for a year or so and it doesn't do to bad considering it just a laptop. Anyway, another hobby of mine is photography and I have decided to get a desktop to do my photo editing on. I would also like it to be a good system to run G4.5 on as well. Any system that can run G4.5 should do very well for my photo editing. So anyway, I am looking for suggestions of systems to buy in the $800 range. I Already have a good monitor on order so that is not a concern. I don't want to build my own computer so I would prefer something pre-built, or something I can custom order. If anybody has any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated. If you don't have suggestions for complete systems, suggestions for the key components to look for would be great too (ie video card, processer, etc).. Thanks in advance for any opinions/info anybody can provide!

Status: offline 		its all about the video card, any new name brand pc will do, but get it with a discrete video card or get one after you buy it and install it, a 100 dollar video card should get you what you need for 4.5 and digital editing as well

Status: offline 		PCs come in all sizes and shapes just like our planes. For $800 dollars you should be able to get at least 3 gig of memory and a processor speed of at least 2.4GH (yes just like the radio only different). Your should try and negoiate for the best video card with the highest amount of memory. If you plan on "flying with pals" on the internet using G4.5 then make sure you get at least a 100gh network card. Some dealers try and slip in the old 10GH cards.

Status: offline 		A 100Mbs or 1gig network card won't help on the internet. Most ISP's can't even give you 10Mbs throughput. Now if your talking LAN parties... the faster the better.

Status: offline 		I got an hp -p6142p with 20' monitor for 600.00 after rebate. quad core, 8 gb memory, 640 gb hd. flies 4.5 great with expansion packs 1-6. And it does look good and act fast...
