Thought it might be interesting to see what the results would be of just a general poll of the users on what they prefer to use. This is not meant to be a "bash that which you don't like" poll, but an honest poll of what you prefer. Thanks, Dave

Kits are cool, scratch building is fun, ARFs are kind of frusterating, but have their place.

Almost a great poll!

ARC and ARF are basically the same thing. And SPAD is a material, like balsa, not a type like arf or KIT built. Also, it seems their should either be a "plans built" or "design my own" depending on your definition of "scratch".

I mostly build from kits, but I aspire to do some designing an build from plans when I have the space etc...so I voted for SCRATCH!!!

P-51B, The reason I chose those breakouts was: For ARC ( and I don't really have a good feel for how common they are), but they give the builder a chance to inspect/modify the structure without the pain of uncovering first, but also allow the end user to pick a unique covering scheme (or I would suppose those are the reasons one would chose an ARC). As for SPAD's, yes it's an alternative material, but not a conventional one, in the sense of what I see most using. As for the Scratch, your right, I probably should have split the Plans vs Own Design, so I am going to make that split now. thanks, Dave

I wouldn't worry about it. After all, you would just have to add bearmech's suggestion, and that would get all the votes!

By the way, it is a good poll.

My favorite plane type has nothing to do with build.

I dont care if its an ARF,RTF, Kit, Spad, or piza box.

I like insane control type ships. Planes Like the Dazzler, Yard Dart, Stick-It and so forth.

Monster sized control surfaces, huge throws, and powerplants that make them work well. I like the stuff most folks cringe at when in flight. Hard to control is fun to control.

Stable is BORING, but thats just me.
