The power capacity of the motors does not change with altitude.

However, the power OUTPUT will, due to the thinner air.

The solution for electrics is to simply switch to a larger prop. It may require a little experimentation to get the right combination, though.

Those TP motors are so cheap nowadays you might as well change. It flies fine on the stock motors on either 2S or 3S at 150' ASL. 7,000' is pretty high ... I would just go brushless.

we have more than a dozen of those cheap motors ( 2409 and 5055-580 ) in our club, flown and abused in gws warbirds and combat coro pushers for 3 years now , only 2 motors burned out their bearings, lots of bent and broken shafts but not one of the motors has gone south ,same for the 25 A ESC, even used at 30-40 amps ( burst )
I have seen some motors so hot you could not touch them, yet they are still going strong.
maybe we are lucky
my known facts, I personnaly own 5 of them ( 2409 ) and 2 /5055-580 and over 400 flights total
cheap yes but try abusing the expensive motors and see what happens. lot' s of money down the drain
