Very nice build. I like the way all the information is etched into the parts. Very nice details.

Those are two nice boats, SpK.

One thing to note is 72.240 is no longer legal, even if it WAS an aircraft-use unit. You may want to see about replacing that receiver, as those older units are more succeptable to interference than today's AM's are!

You should be able to pick up a 75 band unit with similar plugs on eBay fairly easily. If its Futaba, those will be G-series, but to be honest, with a gasser, I'd upgrade the servos at the same time as the Tx/Rx units.

Apart from that, the setailing is something I hope to aspire to. I have both those kits myself, both will be electric (twin shaft w/contra-rotating props) My AE is a refit (converted to a 'luxury cruiser') and has been completely stripped, as it had at least two coats of epoxy/fibreglas, and at least 6 of paint in its 20+ lifetime, and this is its 3rd time back in my possession. I bought it originally with a seond AE kit for $75, sold the other one for $75, so mine cost me NADA. The Dauntless I bought off eBay w/ its drive kit at a steal, then found it was missing the hull! With a partial refund to compensate, I managed to buy the hull die-cuts from dumas, and I'm just beginning the superstructure, and trying to finish the hull (planking the nose is a PAIN!)

You going to get some run-time video of these beauties for us? And if ya replace the radio, DON'T trash it. Its part of the boat's history, eh? Shame about the real Dauntless... sold for scrap... criminal, that was!
