Found a new mini digital camera to play with while shopping at a local electronics supply outlet last week. Pure impulse buy... Takes 640x480 pictures and is small. Dubbed a "keychain" camera. Quality is pretty good for the cost ($30!) and size.

Only problem is that it times out and shuts off after 20 seconds of inactivity to save the AAA battery. There's a USB port that if one supplies 5V to, it should stay on. We just left the shutter depressed with a servo. When released, it would take the photo and then we'd set the servo again.

Anyways, a new toy for the electronics tinkerers out there...

These photos were taken through a canopy too.
