Heck, I thought plastic coverings like monokote counted too.

On the majority of my SPADS I need no covering material whatsoever-well unless I need sign vinyl to decorate it - Waaaaaay cheaper than moneycote. However, yes some do use it. They'll learn.

Methinks I've discovered a new characteristic of the SPADonians ... more estrogen than testosterone.

I disagree.

No one ever likes being made fun of period. Just like anyone else, we get tired of hearing the same old thing, over and over and over, and quite frankly, i for one would rather spend my time building planes than stepping down to that level.

and one more thing Jim, in the usage above fowl should be spelled foul.

One more little tidbit about the spad bashers.
Do you guys remember the people in jr. hi gh school that had to make fun of everybody to hide their own low self esteem. You can read through the comments above, and see what happens when they become adults (i won't say grow up, because they obviously haven't).

A very apt description of "SPADding", I like it!

That's me baby, low self esteem and won't grow up.

Of course then there were the ones who lacked confidence and would take every friendly jab or contrary opinion as an opportunity to prove themselves by lashing out.... :

----------------

You guys should really should stop taking yourself so seriously. I thought the church of SPAD was all about fun without getting too serious...

Even a proper troll would get bored with this group, you're too easy to inflame.... from now on SPADs are off my list, here's your opportunity to prove yourself.... jab away at this balsa biggot who hasn't seen the light. :

Opportunity most foul. :

Bzzzztt , Ok you hit the button pal.
FYI, Amongst the SPADONIANS I know, there are decorated Vietnam Vets, Retired Fighter Jet pilots, Marines, Gulf War Vets, a few Cops, various current military, and many retired military.
There are many other "common folks" who just happen to be some of the best damn people I have ever had the pleasure to meet. Not a one of those who'm I have met fit in the catagory you refer to. And even if one did, who is to say a "gay" person doesn't have the right to fly RC with the building material of his choice?
You sir are a "Balsa Bigot" and will never see the light no matter who presents it to you.

I for one, have both balsa AND SPAD planes. I primarily fly my SPADs more because I can be more relaxed when flying and learn more from it without worrying about breaking something that I have 6 months tied up in. If you would just build one SPA3D, according to plans, take it out and fly it for a few hours, you would then understand a small part of what SPAD is all about. But you won't---- Why,? Because it's more fun for you to sit in front of your computer and bash someone else's indas than it is to actually try out what they are saying is fun.

Have a nice day, and next time there is a SPADFEST drop by and please point out to me the folks there who are estrogen imbalanced. I'm sure they will set you straight.

Dwight Hayden

Guilty consciense Jim?

I never mentioned anyone by name, intentionally. Funny you took it as aimed at you personally.
