Hey guys! So ive had a few electric cars and I want to get into nitro. I found a guy on craigslist selling a Traxxas Nitro Sport for 125. He says its got the upgraded 2.5 engine in it. Heres a picture of it. Does anyone know if its worth it? Anyone know how old it is?

To be completely honest with you. I don't think I would buy a used Nitro as my FIRST nitro.

Agreed.................

And if you're buying USED because of your budget, nitro definately is NOT what you should be getting into.

I'd stay away from the Nitro Sport. It may look like a good deal, but there are better RC's to spend your money on.

I've never owned an exceed...however I frequent their support forum and try to help when possible...it use to be most exceed, redcat and himoto rc's were pretty much the same....however lately the 3 have seemed to offer rc's different then the others...one thing about exceed that would concern me is their support and parts availability..another thing is for instance they are known to use plastic for gears and such to cut the cost down...just by taking a peek into each of the 3 support forums you will see what I'm saying..

one thing I would suggest is to skip the 1/10ths and get a 1/8th...the 1/8ths are easier to work on and way more durable.....if your wanting a less expensive buggy here are my suggestions...himoto rxb-1 (I own and race one and love it), caster 1.5zr (I think thats what its called, peek into the 1/8th buggy forum and you will see a thread for it), I dont own this buggy but some guys I know and trust say they are top notch...also look at the hyper 7 black edition, I dont own this buggy either but its a real popular buggy people mention to those looking for a good lower cost buggy...
