Little more paint work tonight - right wing tank. No clear yet, just base - but way cool regardless.........

Dan,

This F-4 is going too be kick ass. Without doubt, the paint scheme chosen is the most beautiful scheme I have ever came across on an F-4.
Can't wait to see it finished, but good things take time.

Prepping the stabs for Flite Metal. Sanded and polished the painted areas since I can't once the Metal is applied.

Started appling the Flite Metal to the stab undersides tonight. So far, so good, although I had hoped that the existing rivet patterns would show through more than they do. I guess when all is done I will have to go over them by hand to make them stand out better. All in all I think it looks pretty good.

It's amazing looking, even in primer! Especially when you think back to how it looked when you first started!

Not much to report lately. A couple of days after my last post my mom went into the hospital, brought her home right before Thanksgiving and took her back in a couple of weeks later. She just came home again middle of last week so the Phantom kinda got put on hold. Be back on it soon though...
