wow you weren't kidding about the giant pictures !

Even though I haven't exactly repaired anything quite like your mig, I have to think its fixable. It may not be as pretty if you have lost alot of the foam. But I would say line up what you have and glue it, fill in the holes....Sometimes if you have a big odd shaped hole in the foam its easier to square it up neatly, then glue in a new piece and shape it... Sometimes its less about a right and wrong way as just thinking up a route to go !

Looks hard but not impossible. Try to assembly dry (no glue) first vvith tape maybe to check alignment. if you're ok start to glue, checking again.
good luck

jose

Oh heck yes, that'll fly again. If you decide it won't, box it up and send it my way! It'll be in the air the next day.

There's nothing to it...Personally, I'd toss the crumbled/squished foam pieces, fit in the larger "undamaged" pieces, patch what's missing, and off you go.

Ditto, I could have it flying again tommorrow! Packing tape and a carefully applied heat gun will help shrink the tape and pull the pieces back tight.

I kinda want to do both. Ive got to do a review on this one and I still have to get video of it in the air. If I can make this one fly I can order a cheap chinese f86 as its replacement.
