what pi$$es me off> The fact that R/C is freaking _cheap_ in the US/Canada but costs a fortune in Sweden... I just bought a Kyosho Mega Force from tower hobbies for 329 +54 USD shipping, and the same car at a discount price excl shipping is 617USD on mail order in Sweden, not to mention what a savage or t-maxx costs... The fact that i have to wait for 2-6 weeks for my Mega Force to be delivered The fact that the only vendor that actually has a presence in Sweden is Kyosho (that's why i had to get the Mega Force instead of a Savage) OK, you can buy a savage, thunder tiger etc in Sweden, but then you pay 2-4USD in shipping for a new 3USD stock replacement cog wheel... The fact that R/C doesn't really catch on in a country that has the best bashing/racing grounds ever, people can't see the difference between a 1/10 nitro monster truck that does 30MPH and a 1/15 Nikko electric car for kids that does 5-10MPH... And then they ask you how much you payed for the car and when you tell them they reply "No way, man you got suckered, you can get one of those for 50USD @ Toys r us..." How can it be more accepted to collect stamps or build railways then to tune and run advanced ultimate speed machines? (ultimate in a very broad sense that is) Arrogance! "Your car sucks, mine is better" Hey, what do you mean better? I could get the same one as you but if i have to wait 2 weeks for every spare part to be delivered to me at shipping cost higher then the price of the spare i'm not sure any more if it's better (directed to lame Savage/t-maxx flamers, and of course i am talking about stock cars, no offense to you real racers etc...) Kyosho (or other vendors) for not providing ANY HOP UP for their models! There MUST be a market for Hop Up of Kyosho parts.. at least ready made conversion so that i can get different tires and other small parts for it... Kyosho for having the lamest advertising etc ever, there isn't anything wrong with their stuff, they have been around for long but it feels like stuff from the 70's if you look at the website etc... Damn, maybe wasn't such a good idea to read through the whole tread at once and then add a post, got a bit carried away he he.. anyway, it's really nice to meet you guys on line like this, i have really learned a lot from all posts and there are people. like me in Sweden, that really appreciate that there is some sort of community to relate to... Thanks to all of you! P.S Why not setting up a newbie forum or a VS/flaming forum? most computer forum have that since all discussions in the end reg. computers ends up being a flame war between mac/PC users or MS/*Linux users... The fact that people do flame should say that there is a need for it, but put it outside of the regular forums... And maybe an FAQ for newbies like me so i don't have to ask same thing over and over again... Just my 20 öre (=0.2 Kronor=0.0244628 USD thought to the discussion...
