I am trying to decide on a 1/8th scale buggy. Have narrowed to the OFNA MBX Ultra or the Hot Bodies Lightning RTR. However, I dont see parts offered for the Hot bodies anywhere. I hear that the Kyosho parts are interchangeable. Is this true, and what model specificaly? Any info will help.

I don't know that much about the Lighting, but I do know that most of it's parts are interchangable with OFNA parts. This car is on the top of my list of cars I am considering. I mainly like the thick shock towers and the low price. Good luck deciding, it is hard.

mymonkey - i know several people who have a lightning and LOVE it. i have some vids of it jumping about 20 feet into the air time and time again, with no damage. two things, however -

1. DONT buy the Lightning RTR. DO buy the lightning Pro.

2. Most lightning pro parts are interchangable with the Kyosho MP7.5, but not the MP6.

I personally have the Lightning Pro and love it
however, cause of my job (retail manager) and the time of year i won't get a chance to use it
so I am selling it for 325.00 shipped.
(paypal accepted and preferred) safe for both parites

It has NEW UPGRADED front and rear shocks
less than 10 tanks ran thru it (including break in)
Futaba Radio with hitec high torgue servo.

VERY FAST, awesome car
but with work and all i can't play anymore :(

i still will have my rc snowmobile but that's months away yet
