I got a good deal I think it was only about 190.00 shipped for the pull/spin start version and it produces as much power as most 30 to 32's
I was looking at they claim 3.4 and 34,000rpm so it should go well I hope .....anything has to be better than this worn out SF.32
has anyone else tried this engine yet?...I can't wait!

well I got it yesterday and on the third start with the plug loosened to relieve some pressure the hex to the roto srart broke into two pieces and fell out. Well from there I decided the starter needs to be replaced anyway(the instructions state that due to high compression/pinch not to use the pull start on break in)but I used it anyways it worked about twice before it failed(more fractured metal parts) I took it apart and noticed the parts that broke had chunks of metal that where different then what it's cast from all along the fracture line. But also I noticed it looked very familiar to something else it has the same block as the 427 so all dimensions for the bullet-proof 427 roto start bolt right on no mods needed! All it took was a 427 backplate, ps shaft and roto srart it's self and I had a brand new one in a drawer I new I held on to it for a reason. And for seem weird reason you can't buy it built this way they make this model with a traxxas roto srart system but no losi?

Now don't get me wrong the block is the same but that's about as far as it goes the carb is much better the crankshaft is putty filled and balanced I did not go much further into it than I had to with it not even being broke in yet!

On a great note the customer service is great at losi parts house called them up and a new ps was in the mail this morning and a pre-paid envelope to mail back the busted pieces! A+ in my book, but I think I'll stick with my 427 roto until break in is through at least

Weird.. I was breaking in a brand-new Mach 427 a couple days ago, and before I could even get it started the hex in the Spinstart backplate broke in half (and flew away over my head..) I was still able to get three tanks through it with half a hex in there....

that really makes me wonder where the quality in things is going what I meant by bullet-proof is you should see the pull/spin for the dynamite .....I've had higher quality things come out of gum ball machines for .25$ the one for the 427 has so many less parts to depend on.
