Mike....

....hang on to it ! That's a nice little plane for $150. You could put that
one up in no time....sans retracts....with Rossi .45, .53, or a Jett .50.....and
have some real fun on the cheap.

Dave.

I am sure it's in this thread somewhere but can anyone tell me the CG location on the Direct Connection F-20? I finally got a retract pump and I'm almost ready to fly it.

Thanks!

Good thread going.. Some input: When DC came out with the F-20 had to have one.. I put a Sport Jett .46 on it . I loved the way it took off with the long nose. One thing I found.. This maybe on true on the DC and not the cermark..but ..doing Full bore split-S power dives.. with that jett screaming at 17,000+ and that long nose moment..becareful of the stab and elevator
doing a high speed stall on the down run.. Many times I could repeat the same conditions and high speed stall the stab.. Just back off the hammer a bit and get a good line down the center line then pour it on.. My 2-cents.. Glenn. aka' Midair

Just thought I would post a picture of a friends Cermark F-20. He has BVM tip tanks, BVM wires, OS 60FX with pipe. the retract area of the wing has been reinforced with CF. Its done is the Swiss colors. It is basically the same set up as mine except for the tip tanks and detailing. Mine is plain ol' red just like it comes out of the box.

Boom,
Pg 16, 5.17 "Mark the balance locations on top of the wing, jsut outside the body. The balance point is shown on the plans and is approximately 5 3/4" back from the leading edge at the root of the wing. The airplane should be balanced upside down on a balancer. The balance of the model can be moved around in the CG marking on the plans. The retract version will probably have to add weight to the tail."
The CG mark on the print is a 1/2 dia. circle.

Hope this helps.
