The body is all fiber glass with a lexan WTC i made the WTC into a box because i couldnt find lexan tubes anywhere and it just seemed alot easier. i kind of followed this web site on my build.
http://www.rvjunkie.com/sub/index.html

what do you mean by water clarity is it how far can i see down or how far does the radio go?

here are some build pictures.

Thats a very interesting 'shorty' interpretation of a modern sub. Must make it a lot easier to transport yet have some presense when surfaced.

yeah it is really easy to transport fits right in the back seat............for my next sub i want to go bigger. i dont have any sort of ballast in it yet so its always sits at decks awash but i would like to put a small snort type system in it. i think i have room for a small air pump under my servo tray and tons of room in the body for the air bag.

Looks good ! I like the short staut look she should be very stable and manueverable with the large  moving surfaces.Like a Seal!
I use a pump system that is very scale in operation.

thank you............................if you have any questions about the fiberglassing of your sub project let me know i learned a few little tricks that are really helpful, right after i made my sub i helped my brother make a boat and the fiberglass went a  heck of alot better.

I'm curious about the purpose of the toggle style bolt that appears to be at the very tip of the nose, visible in the last pic you posted. It doesn't appear to protrude from the front. I'm just curious what it's about.

the screw in the front is to hold in foam in place. the screw goes through a piece of starboard which is glued to the hull and then the toggle switch holds the foam. it worked pretty good until it broke, i need to epoxy it in better as a temporary fix i just zip tied the foam to the weights............

I'm guessing you're using the foam to adjust overall bouyancy and level since you don't have a ballast system installed?

a little bit of foam in the top and weight in the bottom to keep her sitting upright and make it easier to adjust the trim level.  i got a really good idea for a ballast system using a rc plane pneumatic landing gear system. thats the next thing on my list to do to my sub.
