Icarus AeroFly Pro Deluxe works fine. I used it on Xp and on my laptop with vista and now I have converted all PC's to Win7 and it works finr. Some drivers had to be updated but that was easy.

I'm sure most of them will work fine. I just updated to W7 64bit and Realflight 4.5 works fine for me - As does every other program I've copied over from the old XP box including some really old games.

Phoenix and FSOne both work on Windows 7 (both 32 and 64-bit) without any issues.

I am using RealFlight g4.5 on Windows 7 32-bit without any problems. I have been thinking about upgrading to a 64-bit (mostly because of my CAD software) and will let you know how it performs.

Update: just installed it on a 64-bit Windows 7. No problems at all. I installed the software, double clicked the launcher from the desktop, plugged in my radio and entered the serials. Everything else worked out of the box.

Hi Guys,
I've a window 7, with 64 bit install and I had all kinds of problems. So I uninstalled G4...and all the expansion packs (I have all 6) and re-installed G4. Then I went on line and received the fee up grade to 4.5 (after installing only the G4 r/c flight sim program), then installed all my expansion packs, with the exception of EX. Pack 3. Three would show as installed, when it was not installed. But when I made a new file for Ex. Pack 3...it installed ok.

Now when I start 4.5 up, I get two error messages. One error message reads-RealFlightG4\cashe\data\rfep_1. is possiby corrupt.
Second error reads- file not foundO:\scenery disk 8\image\RealFlight compatible.TxT .

I can work through the issues by clicking on the red "X" several times as the error messages come up, then real flight 4.5 will come up and run ok.

I've a XPS 8000 computer with 4 gigs of ram, and a good vid card.

I've uninstalled everything and re-installed with the same issues.

Can anyone help me out here...I had a XPS 600 w/XP and all the XP up grades before and every thing worked ok, but my new computer has issues.

I will go to G5 as soon as I work out these current problems.

Soft Landings Always,
Bobby of Maui

It really sounds as if you'd benefit from contacting the developer's support. Unless a reader or two have encountered the type problem reported here, the forum really isn't going to be the best place for a solution. A lot of the problems seem to be encountered by very few users and that pretty much limits the number of people who can help.

There is a technical support button on the launch window that pops up when you start RF. Matter of fact, the "Registration/update" button on that window is a good one to click after any install. Updating install software is always a good idea as it just might sort out whatever is kinked in your install.

Very often getting an expert on the phone saves lots of time.

Hay da Rock,
Thanks for the imput...and on Monday I'll contact Real Flight direct and see if they have a fix. Right now all programs work ok...or at least they seem to run ok, but I still get the error messages every time I fire up the Real Flight program on my new computer.

Good info and soft landings always,
Bobby of Maui

I had a similar situation with CFsim and an almost identical message with Paint Shop Pro. In both cases, the telephone support knew exactly what was going on. They knew there was a bad file in one and nothing wrong in the other. One had an easy way to fix just that file. The other knew how to remove the warning message, and took the info to report for the next but fix.

Hay da Rock,
Thanks again...and I'll be calling tomorrow.

I am really getting to like Windows 7...I do have a few driver issues but I belive this will be worked out with a few phone calls. What I have found out is that the industry is just now coming out with window 7 compatable soft/hard ware.

Soft Landings Always,
Bobby of Maui
