I was wondering if someone could give me a couple of measurements for the Aero-Works 150cc Yak 54.  I need to know what the tallest point of the plane is while it is sitting on the gear and what that measurement is.  So if someone has the measurements for how tall it is from floor to the top of the rudder and maybe from the bottom of the main wheels to the top of the cowl.   Thanks.

Thanks a ton Smarks!  That really helps in my choice of which plane to choose from.  I am up in the air between the 150cc Yak or the 150cc Ultimate.  I am waiting until they go on sale in December to order one so I have some time to decide.  Do you know what the measurements are on the Ultimate by any chance?  I would like to know what the same measurements are for the Ultimate.  I would think the cabane on the nose would be the highest, but not sure.  So, if there is anyone out there with those same measurements, I would greatly appreciate it.

Jamie

I'm curious how long that Yak is spinner to tail as I'd want to know how far past the tailgate it would stick out.

Never mind. I got it. 116"

Thats a big boy!!!!

No problem. The Ultimate is a smaller plane, don't know the measurements though. I have several buddies that have them however. Let me ping one of them and see if they can measure it for you. Both are excellent planes. They each have their own unique characteristics. The Ulti snaps like a friggin champ. It is also lighter than the Yak. But the Yak slices through the air a bit better because it is bigger and heavier. Tough decision!

I got the measurements from Jason Noll so there is no need for the Ultimate measurements.  I am just so on the fence between the two.  I had the 100cc Yak and it flew like it was on rails, but I also love Ultimates.  I know the bipes just have more mixing required to get them to fly as good as a mono-wing plane.  I guess it will just come down to the flip of the coin.  This is one of those choices I hate to make.  Thanks for the help, Smarks

Yes, tough decision. You will be happy with either. Go with your gut.
