Status: offline 		I am purchasing materials to build my first plane from plans. Tower offers all the sizes/types of wood I need to build it. Any experience with their balsa and plywood? Don't want to tempt fate by building my dream plane from wood only suited to being kindling!

Status: offline 		I cant say as to the quality and price of towers wood but I would suggest going with Balsa USA 1: they specialize in balsa and tower prob buys from them or other balsa places and marks their wood up. 2: they have excellent wood and is AAA Premium grade and i never had a prob with any wood they sent me and 3: one of the cheapest places for balsa out there beside LoneStar and with you being in Ohio and BUSA in Wisconsin I would go there over lonestar for speed and shipping costs alone.

My 2 Cents and almost $5000 or more in balsa in all the years I been Modelling from Busa and they always came through for me

Status: offline 		I purchased a couple of pieces of 6'' x 12'' ply just to see what the quality was like and they were perfect, actually better than I anticipated. I do mostly scratch building so the quality of wood is of interest to me. I would not hesitate to purchase plywood from them in the future based on what I obtained.

Another vote for Balsa USA!

On a recent order they made a mistake - the first time ever over the years.. not only did they correct it but sent it FEDEX early morning delivery at their expense....

I actually got someone else's order... bigger than mine and got to keep the first shipment also... Great customer service and they will answer you questions without making you feel like you are bothering them.....

The only way to go..

Status: offline 		I but from LoneStar, the wood is always been in good shape, no warps in it, just great wood, but i also live not very far from them as well, lol. Id say go with them, but you live a ways away, so ya might want to pic some one closer or hand pick from the local hobby shop.
