I have a skylark.... The problem is it acts like the battery is weak and won't lift off of the ground. The battery pack / packs are fully charged, I know cause my brothers skylark will lift fine with same battery pack.

Strangely if I try to fly it as soon as I unplug the battery it will lift, but if I let the battery sit for an hour or so after it's unplugged it doesn't lift.

I even traded blades with my brother and the same outcome.

So it leads me to believe that its either the motor or the speed controller / piccoboardclone.

Does anyone have any idea on how i can test the piccoboardclone, and or the motor? The batteries seem to be fine on one chopper.

I know little about electronics, but I do have an ohm meter, I just don't know what to look for.

I'm not familiar with the Skylark (I've got the Piccolo), but have you checked the motor/rotor gear mesh? I had the same problem, and it was just too tight. I readjusted the mesh and it flew much better...

Thanks for the tip Mike! I had the same problem with my Skylark and it is gone now! Stays up in hover for more than 5minutes now!

Now THAT'S why I read forums like this ;-)

Yeah! And do you know what the most funny part is: I fly this thing now for 5 weeks (minus 3 weeks repair ;-)) !!!

One step away from the next move!
