Well I could joke that the snow has finally melted here and I am now able to continue on this project. But the truth is the best laid plans can be pushed aside for a number of reasons.

What has helped me get back on this project is my recent trip to Oshkosh. EAA Airventure. http://www.airventure.org/

Where I got to see this beautiful site...

While I was there I got to see the ladder being lowered and raised once. It looked like the handle only had one hinge point and that was on the ladder. I was given an e-mail address that may lead to
actual drawings of the ladders workings. When I learn more I will share.

My next project is the wings, I plan to recess the servos. I'll post photo's.

Well this project is being set aside for another week.
This week is being used for inspection and prep of planes that will be flown in the Erie, Pa. Model Airplane Airshow. Hosted by http://www.thermalgrcclub.org/

The Airshow is this coming Saturday, Aug. 14th

I'm also going through the vidio and photos that I took at Oshkosh. I took many of Ruff Stuff.

Hey JRMS, I happen to be working in Erie. Have been for about 8 weeks. What kind of planes are they looking for?

What a treat. I got to this air show in 1993 and have wanted to return each year since. Maybe next year.

If you check the ThermaG web site, they have a photo gallery. The only shots of the an airshow are from 2002.
If you come, Bring some shade.

How long is the runway? I have a Meister P-47 but she weighs 48lbs with a wing span of 102". I fly out of 650 ft of grass at our home field, but we have no obstacles to climb over.

Well, Using Goggle maps I tried to measure the area. Close to 400 feet. but a truble spot is right across the midle at the half way point.
It is a low spot from drainage from the parking lot. In the third to last picture from 2002 gallery photos from thermal g web site you can see the green low spot.
The runway is also North/South, So we seam to have a West cross wind every year. Our club feild is like the old aero drome feild, 300' round, set up the
flite line acording to the wind and you are always taking off and landing into the wind.
The airshow address is on the flyer, so maybe you can goggle/map to preveiw this week.

Wow, It has been over two years since I have posted.

And for those who had subscribed, I haven't been secretly working on it without you.

It just got put aside for another project that I thought was closer to being finished.

And then there was another repair. And another easy put together...

I will continue on it and post, I just don't know when.
