After the vast use, (more than 64,000 views), of my Electric Osmose build thread: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_6527765/tm.htm
I understood the need of this information for the nouveau flyers.

One thing that I like in our hobby is that almost everyone is willing to help others in building and flying.

I learned most of my knowledge from other people that published their knowledge and ideas.

For example I learned from Chad Northeast in his ZN Line Xigris Build Thread http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_8956458/tm.htm
the uses of the poly urethane glue, Thanks Chad, Please accomplish that thread.

I can never forget one incident that happened to me in the 2001 world championship, I asked one of the Japanese team member to take a picture of the inside installation of one of their plane, and in response he covered the place with a towel. (Remember the fifties, when the Japanese copied almost any American electrical appliance, transistors etc.).

So for the memory of that incident, here is the Xigris Build Thread.

Status: offline 		The second thing is writing an Excel worksheet with all the parts weights and the moments from the planning C.G.

The moments are used to know in advance where the motor battery tray will be and how much the battery should be moved in order to move the C.G. 1 cm' so the battery tray can be planned properly.

In glow planes, one can know in advance, if the plane is going to be tail or nose heavy and try to eliminate the problem.

I update the Excel during the course of the building process with the actual weights and mark them in green.

The Xigris Excel enclosed herewith,

Here is a very important conclusion that came out from the Excel – The plane is going to be tail heavy, the motor battery should be at 27.3 cm from the C.G., that is very close to the motor. I shall do very effort to make the tail as light as possible !!!!

Thanks for doing this thread! I have a C2 coming this month and your thread is going to help me out immensely. What motor are you planning? Also on the first set of pictures there is tape on the fuselage showing the cutouts for the wing tubes, adjusters, etc. Did you put that on there or did it come that way? It is on both sides or just one?

I’m curious about your savoxes. Have you tried them yet?
After having read positive comments about savox on this forum, and others, I bought two SC1258 for evaluation. Initial impression was good, but after testing them side by side with a JR8401 I have decided to never use them. Speed, torque and centring were good, but it had no where the precision and smoothness of the JR. From my experience I would not recommend savox for F3A.

Before you mount them in your model I suggest testing them side by side with the servos you are used to. Mount a long arm to the servo (min 20cm) and se how they respond to the small precise control inputs typical for F3A flight.

Before I decided to use the Savox servos, I made a long research for the best servo for each aplication.

Here enclosed comparison table.

My friend use the Savox servo for F3A with great success.

Here I made a mistake in the order which things have to be done !!!

I liked the idea of sharpening the ailerons hinges balsa when the ailerons are still connected to the wings, see Chad post no.5, http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_8956458/tm.htm

As you can see in the pictures, I glued the hinges balsa in place, and I found that as a result, one of the ailerons was warped.

To solve the problem I had to cut the ailerons from the wings so the tension can be released.

Later, when I will work on the stabs, you will see the right order which things have to be done.

Status: offline 		I am also going to use Savox Servos on my Axiome (Already on the way from Oxai...
Last checked the Ship carrying it was in the middle of the Indian Ocean :-)
I also review the servos Table with Najary and it looks to me like a good choice. The important thing is in-flight test.
The only actual in-flight experience I had with Savox servos was on my Venus 90 which I compete in IMAC competition were I personally did not notice any smoothness issue.

The original method is: two bolts and wing incident adjusters = 48.2 gram (24.1X2)

My method is only one bolt in more comfortable place and two unrotate pins = 29.2 gram (14.6X2)

The wing incident adjusters will be remove after some flights, when I will be satisfy with the wings incident.

I will be able to reinstall the wing incident adjusters any time I want.

I use this method in my Osmose, and it works great.

I have great experience in building CAMODEL, which has some similarity in the construction, and I noticed your now fond of PU glue. Arnt you afraid that its hard to polish it after?

Hi Gadi,

This is the first time that I use poly urethane glue ("Gorilla glue"), For many years I used Epoxy glue for all purposes.

I found the Poly Urethane Glue more suitable than Epoxy glue, for gluing balsa to form and gluing balsa to balsa.

The PU glue is lighter, easier to sand, only one component.

It is always better to have more than one choice to choose form.

But remember, you must use gloves when working with PU glue.
