I am building a TF Sea Fury and I am making fiberglass gear doors. I am making doors that mount to the strut as well as the inner doors that close over the wheel well. I would like to know what the best way to mount both of these is. I have the strut covers mounted on the retracts.

Herb,

I'm not and expert on gear doors. Actually, I have never done them. Here is a link I found of the Top-Flite web site that may be of help to you. I have a P-51 I plan to put doors on. This link is for the Giant P-51 but you should be able to adapt it to the fury.

Topshelf,

Thanks for the info. It will be helpful. However, I still need to know how they should be mounted directly onto the strut. One the Sea Fury, the doors are not hinged at the wing. Any ideas?

I'll try and do a search through the forum to see if there has been a similar thread.

I saw on the robart web site some brackets designed to attach doors to Robostruts. Try this link http://www.robart.com/pages/robo.html
