plus i am new to the on-road world too. so would the ntc3 be better? like another guy said earlier in thread, serpent is good as long as your an expert or something like that. i want something that i wont have to be wrenching on all the time
just to get it to go.

You need to go with what your wallet can handle. I have a NTC3 and love the thing. I have put a lot into hop ups. If you go with it get the factory version and not the RTR. I wish I did that.

I think the Serpent is a much better car though.

Yeah, I know, I was talking about impulse pro... ther's not so much difference between those 2 actually...

Well, I'd suggest you, if you cant afford 705, to go with ntc3 or maby OFNA LD3... IMHO it's not the car that drives, and any race oriented car is capable of winning international races. Go with whatever you can afford

Also..

Arent serpent replacement parts insanely expensive?
By the time your through getting parts to fix your car.. you could have build a highly modded TC3..
How do you approach that argument?!

You have to go with what your wallet can aford. That is why I have a NTC3 with lots of hop ups.

I would'nt say serpent parts are expencive... maby in usa they are tho... You can check www.rccarinternational.com it's a shop in holland that carries serpent parts.

One reason why I don't want NTC3 is that everyone has them... I dunno, maby it's just my problem, but I like to be different... The biggest problem with NTC3 (and TC3) is imo that they are out of balance... nothing a 500$ worth of hopups can resolve tho And the problem with serpent is that it's overweight (mine was like 1900g), and that with carbon chassy.
If you'd ask me what to choose, I'd probobly get LD3, cause it's not so popular around here.

Oh, and you might also want to look for Schumacher Fusion... It's a good car. If parts are available in jour LHS than I can strongly recommend it

But isnt the fusion as fas as you get from legal standards?

Big Block.. 3 speed.. lol

NTC3 is out of balance?? wow I hear otherwise around here..

Well heck I guess our best bet would be to drive each and find out!

I really want a 1/10 scale onroad now mywelf because the local folks are big into it. And NTC3 parts are abundant!

well, actually I ment fusion R12, not fusion 21...

It's totally race legal with rossi pixi R12 engine (1,8HP) as standard... Nothing my serpent wont beat tho

ooo wait a minute..... tell me more about this ofna ld3!! would it be good for someone like me? and would the twospeed be good for showing off in the neighborhood(would it have good topspeed?) and also great for the races on the weekends? or will i have to go to the one speed which doesnt sound as cool? :thumbdown

and is ofna a good on-road company? ive only done offroad and they were pretty good there, i was just wondering if this would be a better deal than the ntc3

im looking for the ld3 pro. but where i see it, its only $320!! is that just too good to be true? i mean for it to only be $320, it must not be all that good compared to others. it must require a bunch too. or is this pro come with everything u need? (im talking about the one with the picco engine and 2 speed)
