Watch the other videos to get a good idea how tough this beast runs! I was running 25/35/25/25 gearing so I was not as fast as the stock gearing but it was pretty good anyhow! I busted the hell out of that SS pipe and the spoiler got a little twisted but other than that, this is one tough buggy....I kinda like it reliability-wise to a Baja, but hey, what do I know...

This was the pipe damage...

Here's a comparison of the DR and the MT

I also upgraded the steering parts...waiting on a new pipe shipment and I will get some video up...

Here's a vid with the 25/35/25/25 gearing chopping down a hill...

Hit a boulder somewhere going up and mashed up the hing pin holder...fixed that and finished running soon after...that's a tough beast!

Nice vids. Do you find it harder to control being a 4X2 instead of a 4X4?

It is still in my stable...although waiting on parts after a crash/rebuild. IMO, the Redcat TT is better deal and it is lot lighter than the DR. If you can wait until next Jan, there is a new Redcat (XT is the current name in the testing stage) that's coming out that will possibly replace my DR. I don't know how much money you want to spend and what type of driving you will use it for but the Dune Runner was very durable until I made an user error and slammed it into a curb. I don't think i spent that much overall on parts either and that's consistent with all of Redcat's largescale beasts.

I never ran my GPS on the DR but I can check next week once I get it on the road. It feels like it didn't go any faster than 30MPH in stock form but I don't have stock gearing anymore.

I put a CY29 in mine and it runs great now...the stock CY26 didn't do it for me, hehehe. Keep in mind you will want to replace the servos early on but the stock radio works and ran good for me until I upgraded. FYI, you can find more Redcat DR user info over on the Redcat Rampage Forum.
