Status: offline 		I haven't touched anything RC in quite some time... well, except for the Traxxas Slash. While waiting for the closing on the house, I have been trying to decide what to do with the house once I get it. Picking out paint colors, looking at hardwood flooring and planning out the remodel. I even bought a set of stainless appliances for the kitchen to replace the dated white ones currently there. Closing just can't come soon enough for me. I am anxious to get started.

Dave, the quad looks cool. One of these days I will have to give one a try.

Phil, how is the night flying going? I bet there is a lot less wind to battle then.

Chuck, how's the job going?

Scott, you finding any time to fly?

Now you mention it I notice.. that night did not have much wind..lucky me.

On the house biz Sir Ivan it is like hobby stuff..seems so long to get your stuff with all the problems sometimes(note to self), and when you get it you forget how much you worried.

I got a surprise coming but I am taking some blows on getting it. I want them to use my Mail box in the USA but they want to ship it here to me for $50 more..then no guarantee it will not get lost or disappear as stuff has done before. I already spent $37 on EMS shipping to the USA.

I wonder who "the friend of Chucky" frightening now this halloween.

Status: offline 		Just smaller helicopters, Ivan.  I need to replace the bell crank spacer on my Rush because I ruined it making a Tech Tip video.    Waiting around for closing sucks.  Back in the day it used to be 6-8 weeks.  They're probably going back to that after 2008.   Hang in there, I bet it's gonna be a hell of a house!

Dave... I need a quad.

Status: offline 		Ok item found in the USA off of EBAY, a lot of vassisitudes rectified by the trusty Helidirect who did not have it in stock , cancelled the order form China and item is now enroute to Miami by UPS ground. Lucky me $119+$37 shipping from China and I paid $119 for item and shipping to Miami.  
HHmm Seems the "father of Chucky" scared himself into a bush..not a peep outta him

Status: offline 		Sounds like everyone is busy which is good. Still in a holding pattern on the house but it is getting closer. I got the underwriting approval and am just waiting on the appraisal report to come in. Hopefully everything is done on the sellers side of things and we can close on the 15th of Nov like planned. I am getting anxious. I think I have stressed myself into a constant nagging headache that has been on and off for the past week... or maybe I have a brain tumor. Who knows. LOL

Chuck, the dryer here is really odd. No vent tube. It is electric and has some crazy contraption to separate water from the air. Not sure how they do it or how it can possibly be efficient.

Amen to waiting. I am a "right now" kind of guy. When I want something, I get it. This whole waiting around thing is just killing me. It is such a waste of time it makes me sick.

Hang in there, bro.  Buying a house is the third most stressful life event.  The only advice I can give you is to simply accept the delay and be happy knowing that one day you will be in your house, tearing out walls, painting walls, laying floor and hopefully, laying pipe.

I worked on my Slash today. Put a Castle motor and ESC in it, swapped out the stock servo for a Savox high speed / torque unit, put an undertray on it and painted up a new body. I still need to change the shock oil. The cold weather is making the 60 weight shock oil a bit too stiff.

Tonight I decided to convert my grill into a smoker and do a test run with a chicken breast. I am going to do a turkey breast some time this week and if things go well, a turkey for thanksgiving.

While I was messing around the grill, Nica carved a sweet pumpkin. Jack Skellington!! Looks awesome.

Oh... I also saw an alarm clock that I thought us heli pilots might appreciate... see picture below.

Kinda early.   The wind was something else.   90 mph gusts on Lake Huron 35 foot waves.   Funky stuff.  I heard y'all had to close western shore of Lake Michigan due to similar conditions.  HUGE azz storm!    I'm happy your family is safe.

That stuff sounds great!  I don't have a smoker but if I did, I'd love it.   My wife doesn't like smoked stuff, though.   I'd say more for me, but that only gets me so far.   I did find a place here in Michigan to get live blue crabs, though!

Sure, I could have gotten it out from under the truck (harder to push it out with the 2.4GHz antenna than with the older 72MHz one ), way more fun to be able to fly it out.
