Status: offline 		There has been a lot of chatter about this on several of the other sites and last I heard 19 Corsairs had been confirmed to be in attendance. Can you imagine a flight of 19 Corsairs. It will probably be one of the last times an event like this will even take place so all of you that are able to go take every camera you can carry with you and post the pictures all over the place. I don't think you will get another chance to see this many bent wing birds in one place at one time again.
I have a good friend that lives in England and he saw the big Spitfire/Hurricane gathering that took place a couple of years ago and they had over fifty aircraft in the air at the same time. He said the noise was deafening but it was the most spectacular thing he has ever seen.

I checked out the forum and some great info on the age old P-51 vs Corsair battle. Can't wait to meet my son in Toledo and lay this one on him. The only thing the P-51 had over the Corsair was gas mileage!!!
Hope to be able to atten this as I'm only about 5-6 hours away and have 4 weeks vacation.
