Mike started building models in the 50's when he was only 8 years old. He has built rubber powered, Jetex, tow-line gliders, gas Free Flight, and U/C speed, stunt, and sport models. He built his own single-channel radio gear with escapements, graduated to Galloping Ghost, and, finally moved to digital gear in 1972.

Mike has spent many hours slope soaring and flying gas single and two channel stuff; both kits and scratch built designs. These designs included scale, speed, mouse racers, flying wings, helicopters, rockets, and many others!

Mike managed a hobby shop for a few years in the mid-70s, then took a break to raise a family. A few years ago, after his kids were on their own, he came back to R/C and saw the amazing advances in technology!

Mike started back up with large EDF planes, then worked his way down in size, working through Park fliers, and then planes he could fly at home. Micro-sized models were a new area, and he bought his first DWE RFFS100 module shortly after they were released. His next leap was to use Lithium power.

Mike has incredible micro-flight experience and we welcome him with excitement to the new RC Universe Electric Aircraft forums!

I am glad your here.. AND experienced because I sure dont have any. I dont live near any big fields and would be interested in anything i could fly from home as well. However, I do like to build and my interests are primarily in unconventional conversions. Again Welcome

Golly, Gee, Guys! You make me all blushy! The mod job in this forum is so easy compared to the car guy's flame wars ! The e-fliers are so polite to each other... I am happy to be here and help when and where I can.

I'm trying to clean off the work bench and finish some old business, then I have a bunch of new laser-cut stick and tissue W.W. I scale FF models to convert to a couple of different micro and sub-minature R/C system. There are some big (actually, tiny and/or powerful) developments in this area that are opening up some brave new worlds to explore...

Looking forward to sharing the experiences!

Mike
