Originally posted by Johnny_Rebel The radio is what it's all about- think about it, the radio really is flying the plane, we're just moving the sticks. So the radio is more important than you think there buddy. If you want to keep using "JR" then thats fine.
Yeah but can you tell the radio to fly a 3/4 roll, sit back, and watch a perfect 3/4 roll every time? No, YOU have to move the sticks just enough, then make adjustments. Sure your telling the radio what to tell the plane, but its still not flying the plane. If you tell it to move, it moves, if you don't it won't. Programmability will also help alot, with things such as mixes and the lot, but again, at the end of the day, its YOU who pushes the switch, and has to time it all perfectly. My friend was telling me on how once, people would fly top F3A with Attack 4 radios, and they were as good as pilots are to-day! I also heard about a special curve on the radio, which will make you fly more accuratly, but am not sure. I agree that it might improve you slightly. When I got the WC2, it improved slightly, cause I programmed the switches to where I like them, and so was alot more comfortable. Also, Digi servos will improve your flying, simply because they are have better specifications which stop/start faster and more accurately, with a better resolution. Regards, Robert. P.S. I fly Futaba!
