If you are really interested in either the Jungmann or the DH-4, contact me offline. We may be able to work something out, but you'll have to come get them.

If I got the Jungmeister, I would get a new ARF, just easier, but what would it cost for the DH4, if you could ship it?  I can't see going that far to pick up a model, even though it is a beaut.

Sorry, but it's too large to ship safely. I wouldn't trust shippers or packers to get it there in one piece.

The fuselage alone is almost 8 feet long, 48" stab span and 28" tall. And the wing panels are joined semi-permanently.

Maybe next time.

I got to see the Easy Tiger Owners' jungman fly at Warbirds ovr Delaware, it was smooth huge and magnificent, I really liked it.  I am not getting another really large model right now, I need to finish some others, but I was very tempted, and very impressed with the way it flew.

To those of you out there who are awaiting delivery of their EasyTiger Jungmann, here's a tip that can improve the strength of the engine mount box, especially if you use gas engines.

The engine box slides through a hole in the front of the fuselage and then back through 2 more holes in the next 2 formers. I saw that my prop shaft could be pushed up and down more than 1/4" each way and originally I thought it was caused by the engine box bending.

Not so!

If you look at the first former on the front of the fuselage, it has lightening holes on each side of the engine box. Plus it's only about 1/2" wide on both top and bottom. I had already epoxied the engine box into the fuselage (more on that later too) so I had to add pieces of 1/4" aircraft ply to cover these lightening holes. I also epoxied the same ply to the openings above and below the engine box that are in the front fuselage former.

Now there's practically zero flex and I'm happy.

Be sure to use the correct engine box sides in the correct places. One is longer than the other and it needs to go on the pilot's left side for right thrust. Down thrust is taken care of because of the design of the box top and bottom. Not so with the sides.

Look before you glue!

Here's a "before" picture. You can work out the details about what has to be done by reading the text.

Just cover up all the holes, large and small

Thanks Dick, that seems pretty simple to do. Doesn't look like much more is needed then, huh? I'm excited! :-)

Not that I can see.

But it's a lot easier to do before you add the engine box because of the excess epoxy you can see in the photos.

I finally flew my Easy Tiger Bucker this last weekend. As mentioned in my previous post, it is powered by an electric motor. The weight came out just under 25lbs. It flew great. It is so stable in the air that it is like a trainer. You can also land it in a small field as it loses airspeed quickly when landing.

I am hearing nothing but nice things about this plane, and I saw it fly at Warbirds over Delaware, it was beautiful.
I am trying to decide on weather I want the Jungmeister or the Cessna 310 Twin from Easytiger.  I see sevral people here who like the Jungmeister, but nobdoy so far has talked about the Cessna 310.  Who has one and can compare?

Not sure about the easytiger jungmann. I just built a 3.5 Pilot Jungmann. I put a DA50 in it. Mine came in at 20.5lbs. I would assume the easytiger flies well. just they had one at Toledo. I just love the lines of this plane..

It flew beautiful, and there was a great review in FLYRC magazine too.
I am still trying to decide on either this or the Cessna 310, but there is a new Mustang from them, too.  The Mustang may be too much like the other Easytiger wrabirds I already have.

Dick I just bought the Bucker Jungman (in yellow, not silver)  How is the CG on it?  Instructions say the CG lines up with leading edge of th bottm wing...is that true?  You mentioned below that it looked a nit nose heavy...how did it fly?  Best, Jamie

I have been waiting for this thread to awaken. The CG appears to be just in front of the rear cabane.

I have determined this by flying this smaller model first. I will tell you that with it's ample elevator area, it is sensitive, and I use a dual rates on the smaller model, an I am waiting for calmer winter weather to fly the giant. It is typical scale biplane on the alerons, somewhat slow, the rudder is large aand has good control, and it takes a large amount of rudder to do an axial roll, if you can do it, some would be more skilled at this than I am.

I am finishing up a build on this Jungmann. Have you made it so you can remove the wings as one piece on each side, rather than disassemble everything?

Yes, the top wing center section remains and the rigging is retained on the fusalage and center wing section.(Coiled up and secured with a bit of tape.) I will post a photo soon.

I am finishing up the Jungmann with a DA85. How do you make it so you take the wings on each side off together? I hate to have to disassemble everything. Any suggestions?

Also, with the cabane struts. I have the middle one that connects at an angle between the other two struts on the inside of the other two. I think this is the way the picture of the airplane on the cover of the instructions is assembled. In the instructions, it shows the angle strut on the outside of the other two struts. How has everyone else set up the cabane struts?

oops, i just saw the answer to my other post. my wingtube is kindof tight, so i'm concerned pulling the wings off may put too much stress on the interplane struts.
