Why Pilots Prefer Airplanes Over Women

* Airplanes usually kill you quickly; a woman takes her time.
* Airplanes can be turned on by a flick of a switch.
* Airplanes don't get mad if you do a "touch and go."
* Airplanes don't object to a pre-flight inspection.
* Airplanes come with a manual to explain their operation.
* Airplanes have strict weight and balance limitations.
* Airplanes can be flown at any time of the month.
* Airplanes don't come with in-laws.
* Airplanes don't care about how many other airplanes you've flown before.
* Airplanes and pilots both arrive at the same time.
* Airplanes don't mind if you look at other airplanes.
* Airplanes don't mind if you buy airplane magazines.
* Airplanes expect to be tied down.
* Airplanes don't comment on your piloting skills.
* Airplanes don't whine unless something is really wrong.
* However, when airplanes go quiet, just like women, it's usually not good.

because they don't cost nearly as much,
you get something back (joy) on your investment without having to give back more every time,
you won't find the plane sneaking out with another plane,
when you're done with your plane, it doesn't ask for 50% of your net worth,
you can eventually figure out how to handle any airplane.
But drop either one to the ground from altitude, say hitting at 80mph, and they're going to break apart badly, and require a trash bag for clean up.

I agree, sometimes I'm just so surprised on how self centered and childish some of the 'guys' are in this hobby. 

/rant warning

Want a new airplane?  Send the wife to the spa for an hour.  Want to go flying for the morning?  Set up a bubble bath, candles, champagne and chocolates for the wife.  Need to run to the LHS to get parts?  Give the wife a back rub.  Thinking of getting a new engine?  Take the wife out to dinner and a movie.  This isnt rocket science gents.  You get your airplanes and a happy wife (plus the benefits of a happy wife).

Whether she is mean or not ! Just don't get caught playing the game!!!!..its like the first rule of fight club ...

Oh I understand this in the humor section and its ment to be a joke, but at some level there is truth to the childish nature of what is said in here.  I was just lamenting over the mistreatment of the wife.  Women are not born mean but are made mean by being mistreated by men.  Wives are treasures, not burndens to be tolerated.

Status: offline 		I too, get the humor of it, however, one poster had a few items that were over the top and were abusive. Abuse is not humor. It simply amazes me that I know so many guys at the clubs I belong to that hide purchases. If my wife goes to the hobby store with me, it is a near certainty that I come home with a plane. Guys, take a look at my picture, that is a snap shot of me at a recent birthday celebration at the field moments after I learned that my wife not only gave me 4 airplanes, 3 were completely assembled, ready to fly. The 4th required an hour or so of tweaking.

God I love my wife! I cannot wait to get home...!
