This is a great simulator. It would be even more great if you could make online combat games that is used with the simulator

I just had to say thanks for the simulator, I was messing around yesterday and found FMS and then RCDP.  I got them both up on my Acer Apire one 10" netbook running with my GP Basic USB controler.  They are a ton of fun, I found Gary Gunnerson's site and downloaded all the planes.  My only real wish is that I could get a 60" wingspan, basic 4 Channel Trainer, tricycle gear, nitro 40 or electric doesn't really matter.  Only reason is I would like to have a simulated trainer similar to ours that he is flying now.

Thanks John

Hi John,
you could download the trainer used in the aircraft editor tutorial. It can be downloaded here from the download page. For an overview of all available planes, you can check this link.

Cheers,
Davy

Thanks Davy, I did see that after I made my post and tried it out on my Acer.  It flies good, but the color is all white, not spotted like the one in the instruction book.  I was trying to figure out how to change the color, but I really didn't put a lot of time into it.  Our plane is yellow on the top and blue with yellow strips on the bottom, makes it very easy to see orientation, which is important in a trainer.  The ones on-line are great and the work people have done is amazing.  My son was flying several of the planes as we were on a trip so no full size computer or RC Flying this past weekend.

I'm proud to introduce the BMI Flight Simulator. BMI NV/SA has been a major European R/C wholesale distributor for over 40 years. As the first large distributor they have decided to offer a simulator featuring their latest planes for free to anybody wanting to try them. This is a unique way to try-before-you-buy.

The simulator is based on the latest version of R/C Desk Pilot and features 5 new planes in 8 versions modelled after their real counterparts with more planes to follow.

BMI FS installs next to the regular R/C Desk Pilot so you can use both versions. Soon an update of the regular R/C Desk Pilot will appear as well containing an updated Aircraft Editor to support floatplanes.

More info on the RCDP blog or on the BMI website. Direct download link here.

Hope you like it!
Davy

Can you be more specific and post the exact error message and when this appears? Or maybe a screenshot?

W_oody04, I DM'ed you an alternative downloadlink. You can also try the BMI version of the sim here.

Cheers,
Davy

I downloaded this program and from what Ive seen so far it seems to be good but I'm having issues setting up my controller. I am using my Real Flight controller but all the channels are wrong and I cant switch them when I try through the menu in the game, is there a way to fix this?

Hi tardster,

You can configure them in the "controls" section of the menu. How to do this is explained in the user manual that is included with the install. You can find it in the Windows start menu.

Hope this helps,
Davy

RC,
yes I tried to configure it as the manual says but for some reason the throttle channel and rudder channels wont change to the channels I want them on. Right now to use my controller from real flight I have to use the round flap knob on the top right of the controller and the throttle channel will not reverse for some reason. If theres something I'm missing please let me know. Thanks oh and so far I like what you have done so dont take this as me bashing your sim...
