I am not sure I even understand this sentence. I wasn't aware that "team losi" was a type of car or truck. I know they are a brand name, or a manufacturer. I don't think that any of their cars come with radios in them... maybe a non-competative model perhaps...

Please clarify

I know you're not talking about the manufacturer producing a supplied radio You're obviously talking about the radios that come with the RTR kits. Not a problem..

So, to answer your original question. Yes and no..

Yes, it is worth the extra money if you want 1) less interference (go FM) for club/circuit racing or 2) have several cars and want a radio that can store settings for all of them (the Airtronics MX-3 has 3-channels, five profiles and is only about $100) or 3) need the sort of adjustability that most of the newer radios supply.

No, if you are just running by your self or with your friends. A cheap, older AM should do just fine. You still may have to put up with a certain amount of "glitching" if one of your buddies is too close to your frequency.

Does that help?

I race all the time with tons of other drivers on an old Airtronics xl2p radio and have never had any problems, or run into any limitations on tuneing/dialing in.
