I have just ordered a load of Kokham packs from Bishop Power from small packs to a special 8s10p !! for a 2m x 2m 3D plane. i wanted sheer power fast charge and lightness. duration was not so important. i am now going to have a motor and battery set up that weighs less than a YS 140, hyde mount pipe, tank etc but with more power and swinging a bigger prop,

all this was made possible by the little gem the Kokham 340HD.

i must also mention that although i am in the UK bishop power were most helpful in both advice, instant response and price.

I have used all sorts of cells on my fleet of Hacker powered 3D planes and the 340HD in various configurations outperforms all cells used even the HE1000 NMH cells, and there loads lighter.

I am just praying for JJ Hong to produce a 2000ma cell capable of 20-30 C (a big brother for the 340HD) as it would make the packs a lot cheaper and easier to assemble

Thanks JJ

i need about 70A so a 8s 4p would be the set up, i will speak to Troy about this but im so impressed with the 340HD that i wand to try a big set big motor and 2000w of power!!

what would the approx weight of 32 x 2000 cells?

i know the 80 x 340s comes in at around 28oz against the 61 oz of the 28 x RC2400 nicads that would have been used.

light weight and sheer power are whats required on a 3D plane Long duration is a waste of weight. (bit like putting a 1 gallon tank in a petrol plane so you only have to fill it up once a day!! no one does that.

Here is an amazing pack from Bishop Power Products.

It is a 3s3p Kokam 340SHC cell pack that has the equivalent voltage of a 10-cell NiCd pack and a 1020mAh capacity. The amazing part is that at only 3.4oz, it can deliver 18amps continuous and up to 30amps short burst peak!

I'll be demonstrating this pack in my Alfa Models P-51 at the upcoming NEAT Fair.
