Hey Chad. Just found your build thread the other day.  Beautiful work.  Also congradulations to your photographer.  All pic's are great, but the first is outstanding.  Catching the landing gear like that is just unreal.

Hi Kevin,

Rather than me try and explain this superb model, have a look on the LMA site.

Perhaps the most impressive fact about that whole project comes in the first sentence: "two year construction."

Hi Chad,

Thanks, mate. Love the #1 picture - I like seeing the those rear end shots with the U/c going up. Tell Joe - good set

I'm sure Joe checks in here once in a while but I'll pass along the kudos anyway. Interesting that the next shot in the series reveals that it was actually the port landing gear that was probably the first to reach up and locked!

Hi Neil.  Thank-you.  Did a quick read on the link to the Bulldog.  Somehow, I knew this aircraft was a Bristol.  Scares the heck out of me.  With the last name Blakely, I always thought we were Russian.   The one comment in the article, was under the heading "Success", where Ian says that the airplane looks " attractive" .  I honestly think that is the understatement of the year.

Thanks again.

You gotta admire the skill and effort required to simulate the effect of "burnt metal" on the tail. I've read a description of the process somewhere and all I remember is that there are a LOT of steps!

Thanks to you they are great shots of both planes. I believe you took the ones of the p-38 two or three years ago at monster planes.

Love that DC-3 model. I like that the skin is bumpy and irregular. Many WWII models are too smooth.

I've often thought that if I ever did a WWII model, I'd have to do that. The whole glass-and-paint thing completely turns me off.

The Bearcat looks great in the "what if" SEAC scheme. Maybe if the war had gone on another year eh?

Hi Chad and all,

Yes, I like the Bearcat in that scheme - I guess looking at that model the Royal Navy should've bought a few.

Another "what if" colour scheme...........

Neil
