I've already installed the program into my computer. Every step was done with nothing indicate any fault item. But when I try to run the program the computer cannot find the USB Interlink Controller. Then I try to let my computer find new hardware automatically, but it cannot find any. So I have to choose the name of hardware myself, does anyone know which one should I pick from the list and any driver may need for completely installation? Need help.

My computer system is as followed
Windows 98
Intel Pentium III 731 MHz.
Dire X 8.1
G-Forced 4
256 MB RAM
1.7 GB hard drive space
24X CD-ROM drive

I had to change from 98 to ME to get my G2 to work. I had the same problem. I find a thread either here or on G2 that talked about Win98 and the USB patch not working properly.

Thank you guys, I also passed this problem to the Greatplanes sales support section and these are their comments. I'll try what they said and if it still not work I may change to windows ME as uagrad90's suggestion.

In general, your PC will need to have the following three components installed
and available in the Windows Device Manager for your PC to be able to support a
USB game controller like the USB Interlink Controller:

1. Human Interface Devices. Under Windows 98, you should have HID Compliant
Device(s) and USB Human Interface Device(s) listed under Human Interface
Devices.

2. HID Compliant Game Controller. This should be listed under "Sound Video and
Game Controllers" in Device Manager under Windows 98. We have found that this is
the most commonly missing component for supporting USB game controllers like the
USB Interlink Controller.

3. Universal Serial Bus Controllers (which includes the USB Host Controller and
the USB Root Hub).

If you don't have ALL the devices listed above available in Device Manager, you
will need to go to the Windows Control Panel and use the Add New Hardware option
to install them. Make sure that you have your Windows CD ROM on hand in case
there is a need to load drivers or system files from your Windows disk.

All the drivers needed should be available on your Windows operating system CD
ROM. In order to load the drivers you will need to "browse" the disc and point
the Installation Wizard toward the "Win 98" folder. In the Win 98 folder, you
will be looking for a Base 5 Cab folder. All the files you need for installing
any of the software components listed above should be available in this folder.

I would strongly recommend that you contact your PC manufacturer for assistance
with making sure that all three of these devices are properly installed,
configured, and available in Windows' Device Manager. If they are not, then your
PC manufacturer would be the best ones to assist you with installing any of
these components if they are missing under your version of Windows. Since they
are the ones most intimately familiar with your specific PC, they are the ones
best suited to assist you in this area.
Here are the typical directories for the drivers needed:
C:\\Windows\System
msjstick.drv
vjoyd.vxd
mmdevldr.vxd
joyhid.vxd
C:\\Windows\System32\Drivers
hidclass.sys
hidgame.sys
hidparse.sys
hidusb.sys
I hope you find this information helpful. Should you have any further questions
or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. You can also reach our

information if previously requested) with our responses to any follow up e-mail
you may send. This will allow us to better track our attempts to troubleshoot
your problem. Unfortunately, due to the volume of e-mail we recieve, WE ARE
