Not a racer (YET). However, I do like speed planes (Electrics to Turbines I like em all).

We have a small club and when I read the article in Model Aviation a few months ago, I thought it would be fun if members of our club did something that could bring the speed flyers, the novices, pros, 3-D guys, and the IMAC guys all together . So last week I contacted my LHS and priced out what items were needed to build a club 40 racer. When I found out how inexpensive it was I sent out an email to club members. So far over half of the club has ordered planes. Being we are just having fun, we made one change in the rules. We will all be running Thunder Tiger PRO 46 engines because so many of us already had one or two not being used and I think allowing this kept the cost down enough that it helped create all of the interest.

Thanks again for your help.
