Test hovered my new Mini Titan this morning and noticed that the motor was not holding a steady speed, as I could hear it hunting at about once a second. The tail was also slightly wagging side to side at the same rate. The heli was flying ok other than for this, but obviously a bit awkward. I suspect that the ESC may be at fault, but just incase I'm missing something obvious (I'm not a heli expert) any suggestions will be very welcome.

Thanks

Are you trying to run it in governor mode?

Seem to have got to the bottom of the problem. The hunting only occurs when the lipo is running low (tail then starts to wag in sympathy with the rotor torque - normal rate gyro at the moment.). With a fully charged battery everything runs OK. It does seem a bit odd how the ESC reacts when the LIPO is getting low, normally I'd expect the power to steadily fade.

Returned the unit to the distributor (J. Perkins here in the UK) got a replacement by return of post - great service!
