I work for a machine shop. In the past I have made parts for tree cutters (is that anything?) I have made parts for everything from coal mining equipment to parts for the space station and all kinds of things in between. I get a great deal of satisfaction when I see pictures of planes in magazines that I have helped guys with on those special parts. Since I started in this hobby I like building models the best.

Building is absolutely the best part about this hobby. ARF's are
OK but nothing compares to seeing your creation fly and
then fly well!!!!

AT&T Moves Toward Mail-Server Whitelist

Posted by timothy on Wednesday October 22, @12:49AM
from the is-it-better-than-spam dept.
Gunfighter writes "In an apparent attempt to quelch the amount of incoming spam, AT&T has asked their customers, partners, and business clients to provide them with IP addresses of their mail servers. All other mail will be discarded. To quote the message: "... In order to continue to allow email to AT&T you need to provide the IP addresses of all your outbound email gateways. If you do not respond immediately, your access may not continue.""

Thank god someone is finally starting to do something about Spam!

System Support Specialist for a data conversion company. I basically spend time fixing Pcs, troubleshooting network issues, and managing the win2k servers. Recently, I have started working on network security and security policy rollout.

If I did, it would never see the lot! People don't get behind on their plane payments, just homes, cars and other unimportant stuff.

University Professor in Wood Science & Engineering Dept. at Oregon State University. If any Ph.D. tries to impress you with is knowledge, just remember:

B.S. = Bull S..T
M.S. = More of the Same
Ph.D. = Piled Higher and Deeper!

Flying RC is awsome. Great thread!

Assistant Vice President in a Web Application Development group for BofA. I spend half of my work day sitting in a cube typing out code/making graphics, the other half day dreaming about flying, playing FMS and checking out the forums

I'm employed by the University of Michigan and am in space flight operations.

I operate an instrument on board the Upper Atmospheric Research Satellite (UARS) that was launched in 1991 and still running and one on the TIMED spacecraft launched 2001. Basically I sit in front of a computer all day either writing command sequences for the instruments or sit in front of the computer and look at data, trying to figure out why the instrument didn't do what I wanted.

see High Resolution Doppler Imager on UARS

see TIMED Misson
TIDI Instrument on the TIMED Spacecraft

n7tb noted that Ph.D. is piled higher and deeper. I'd add to that the in completing a Ph.D. is the process of learning more and more about less and less until you know absolutely everything about nothing.

Laid off. Playing Mr. Mom for a while, caring for my 2month old daughter, dreaming of building my edf Boeing 717.
Non destructive testing...Hmmm, I was thinking of getting into that field myself. It would sure beat delivering auto parts, or operating a tow truck.

SAP Basis Consultant & part-time Enterprenuer. Though I plan to be a full-time enterprenuer so that I can have more time to fly (Yeah Right !!!)

If you must know, SAP is the name of an ERP software and is the 3rd largest software company...

Which makes me really smart... at least I can program my computer radio
