I'm a journeyman printing press operator(full time job, many many years), as well as a limousine driver(part time). I sometimes happen on odd-jobs now and again for extra money too. I do full-time work to pay bills and for the "bennies", the part-time is for fun money(and driving limos is a kick in the pants to start with). The way I figure it though, I have ability to work and make money, so it really doesn't matter what I'm doing, as long as it pays.

I was a custom builder for the last few years to supplement and support my addiction to planes, however it took my hobby that I love, and made it into work. I recently delivered my last plane, and now everything in my house is mine and only mine. I'm back in for the love of the planes, and much happier for it.

I here ya, did this for almost 10 years and burned out real bad, now like you all that's in my shop is for me and only me. It took about 2 years to get over the burnout and still I fight it, didn't fly for 2 years as the interest just wasn't there and a few health problems sure didn't help. Now i have one on the boards, one almost ready to cover and all ready looking forward to my Skyraider.

"We're a great place to take a leak!!"
I am self employed and own a radiator repair shop that specializes in industrial and off road cooling systems.
Our smaller rads are usually in highway tractor-trailer units and our larger ones are from locomotives.
We have a 5000 sq ft shop and a over head crane system that runs full length and full width of our shop. I work a lot with acids and caustic cleaning compounds.
It's a dirty, smelly, hot, business, but it is 8-5 m-f, and is giving my family a good living. And in todays business enviroment i guess thats pretty good.

I posted a while back( #319), was working for Worldcom till 17,000 were let go. I just picked up a new job in the same profession, telecommunications technician, at CenturyTel. Now I can get on with projects that were on hold.
